ISLAMABAD: A medicine shortage in Pakistan in likely to be expected according to the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA).
As there is now a shortage of raw materials in the country the production of medicines might come to a halt according to the PPMA.
The association also said that it had informed concerned authorities about the disturbance in the production however, no action has been taken stating that fixing the upcoming medicine shortage in Pakistan is not the sole responsibility of the PPMA.

In others news, a petrol shortage is also expected in Pakistan in the coming days as oil companies barely have enough stock left to meet the demand of people according to the All Pakistan Petroleum Retailers Association (APPRA).
This is because currently no companies are purchasing oil other than Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and according to the association the reason is the consistent decrease in the companies quota.
Many petrol stations have been shut down after suspension of license for not providing fuel or selling it at a higher price to the public.
