ISLAMABAD: A metro bus operating in the twin cities suddenly caught fire near the Islamabad IJP Metro Bus Station, causing panic among commuters.
According to details, smoke began to emanate from the bus engine, forcing the vehicle to halt abruptly and passengers to disembark quickly. The situation led to a backlog of buses on the track, with passengers compelled to walk long distances on foot along the route.
Metro authorities reported that staff members swiftly controlled the smoke and ensured the situation was kept under control. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. However, passengers faced significant delays, before being transferred to another bus.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the smoke and prevent such incidents in the future.
