ISLAMABAD: A mini smart lockdown has been imposed in Karachi, Islamabad and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) according to the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar.
The federal minister took to Twitter and informed of a two percent increase in the positivity rate of coronavirus cases in the country compared to last week’s results.
Therefore, mini smart lockdown has been imposed in Karachi, Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the local administrations have been directed to take appropriate measures and ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
It is pertinent to mention that the number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed 318,000 while the death toll has reached 6,570 including 12 fatalities during the last 24 hours.
