Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Mianwali today to inaugurate the Model Police Station. Punjab Cheif Minister, Usman Buzdar was also present at the inauguration ceremony along with other senior police officials.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Shoaib Dastagir briefed the prime minister about the special initiatives taken by the police in the province.
The IGP police, talked about improving the working of police stations. Early on Friday he talked about changing the thana culture in order to improve relations with people and provide relief to them.
Overall 50 police stations are said to be upgraded as Model Police Station in different districts.
In a statement by PM Khan, he said that the police system will be improved in the province and superintendent of Police (SP) complaints will be present in different districts. There will be 716 front desks set up in police stations in Punjab for citizen complaints.
An open door policy will be implemented on the orders of the PM by all Regional Police Offices (RPO) and District Police Offices (DPO).
