Monal Restaurant Islamabad is going to be permanently shut down along with other commercial and business activities in the heart of Margallah Hills National Park according to the Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul.
Zartaj Gul in an interview with Urdu News said that it is against the law as no construction or any other business activity is allowed in the Margallah Hills National Parks.

Upon being asked whether the government would demolish Monal Restaurant Islamabad, the Climate Change Minister said that the cabinet has taken a very strict decision against any sort of construction or business activities in the National Park.
Monal Restaurant had previously cut down trees in the Park without any prior permission for new construction and expansion of the premises which is strictly prohibited.
It is pertinent to mention that Monal Restaurant Islamabad was sealed back in May 2020 when the management of the eatery started cutting down trees for its expansion.
Furthermore, Zartaj Gul mentioned that any sort of existing construction in the area will be demolished to restore the natural beauty of the of the Margallah Hills National Park.
