Mubashir Khokhar, Brother of MPA Asad Khokar Shot Dead in Lahore

Mubashir Khokhar, the brother of Punjab Provincial Minister Asad Khokhar was shot dead in Lahore after unidentified men opened fire at his son’s wedding on Friday evening.

According to several media outlets, Mubashir Khokhar passed away on the spot while two other people were injured in the attack. The injured have been moved to the hospital while the two unidentified shooters have been arrested and taken to undisclosed location.

“The shooting was the result of personal enmity,” tweeted the Government of Punjab on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill tweeted, “The assailants came close to his [Mubashir Khokhar] vehicle and opened fire. Chief Minister’s security arrested the attacker. Unfortunately, Asad Khokhar’s brother was killed in the attack.”

It is pertinent to mention that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and other PTI leaders were present at the wedding. The CM was safely escorted from the venue.

The Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has sought a report regarding the incident from IG Police.
