LAHORE: Nawaz Sharif is taken to Services Hospital as his health deteriorated in Kot Lakhpat jail.
He was shifted by a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team amid strict security for checkup on Monday night.
Dr. Mahmood Ayaz is heading the medical board, formed for the medical checkups of former PM.
Dr. Mahmood Ayaz has confirmed that platelet counts of Nawaz Sharif was low from normal range.
Dr. Ayaz suggesting the reasons for low platelet count said
- It could happen due to various reasons.
- It could fall due to excessive use of medicines.
- Mosquito-borne dengue fever could also be the reason.
He has been suffering from low fever since few days.
Nawaz’s personal physician Dr. Adnan Malik has taken to social media and shared his medical reports.
He said in a tweet
Today met former PM #NawazSharif for consultation & evaluation. He’s visibly unwell & has multiple serious life-threatening health issues of acute nature.
I’ve recommended immediate hospitalisation for workup & treatment.
The matter is of utmost urgency.
Former PM #NawazSharif is detected to have critically low Platelet Count (16*10^9/L) that could be due to multiple pathologies & requires immediate in-hospital care.
I’ve requested the concerned authorities to act in urgency please.

Shehbaz Sharif arrived at NAB office Lahore and said “If anything happens to Nawaz Sharif, we will blame Imran Khan for it,”
He said it was political vengeance and insensitivity of the government as Nawaz Sharif was not shifter to hospital earlier.
