The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Friday announced the opening of cinemas and shrines for fully vaccinated individuals. The decision was made during a meeting of the NCOC headed by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar.
During the meeting, the forum discussed and reviewed the coronavirus situation in Pakistan in proportion to the level of complete vaccination in each district. The NCOC has urged people to get themselves fully vaccinated, considering it a national obligation.
Furthermore, the NCOC has lifted the restriction of the one-day mandatory lockdown restriction across the country, allowing all businesses to operate seven days a week without any restrictions. However, the forum has urged everyone to keep following coronavirus SOPs.
The decision to lift the restriction of safe-days has been made keeping in view the decline in the spread of virus and ongoing vaccination drives in the country. It bears mentioning that a total of 1,086 COVID-19 cases were reported in Pakistan over the past 24 hours along with 27 deaths from the deadly virus.
Moreover, the restriction pertaining to the number of guests in indoor weddings has been eased, with 300 guests now allowed of the previous 200. Meanwhile, the outdoor weddings and events can now have 500 guests.
These changes will come into force from October 16 and remain imposed till October 31. The forum will review the matter futher on October 28.
