The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has reduced the age limit for the booster dose after the surge in the COVID-19 cases in the country, especially the OMICRON variant.
The decision to reduce the age limit for the booster dose was taken during the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) during the meeting on Friday. “In Today’s NCOC session, age limit for booster dose has been further reduced.” the NCOC tweeted. “From tomorrow onwards, citizens over 18 years will be eligible for free booster dose of their choice.”

It is pertinent to mention that booster dose is provided after a six months gap from complete vaccination.
Pakistan is currently experiencing the fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic with over 3500 cases being reported during the last 24 hours as per the daily update provided by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) with 7.36 percent positivity ratio.
