Mohsin Dawar, a Pakistani politician and human rights activist, was shot and injured on February 10, 2024. Dawar is the leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), a group that advocates for the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan.
He was shot while entering a government compound in Miranshah, the capital of North Waziristan. Dawar’s injuries are not life-threatening, but he is in stable condition.
Mohsin Javed Dawar is the chairman of the National Democratic Movement (NDM).

Dawar is the co-founder of a human rights movement, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and formerly served as president of the National Youth Organisation (NYO) and the Pashtun Students Federation (PSF), the allied wings of the Awami National Party (ANP).
