The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved on Thursday a hike in the electricity tariff by Rs. 1.71 per unit due to Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) in the bills for the month of October 2023.
According to the details, all consumer groups will be impacted by the increase in power tariff, which will be shown separately in October 2023 bills for the units billed in August 2023.
It is pertinent to mention that DISCOs had initially filed a petition to increase the electricity tariff by Rs. 1.82 per units for the units consumed in August 2023.
Recently, NEPRA had approved an increase in the electricity tariff by Rs. 3.28 per unit due to the FCA from October 2023 to March 2024.
