ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an 83 paisas per unit increase in the power tariff on Thursday.
The reason behind this price hike in power tariff is the result of the variants in the fuel charges for the month of July 2020 according to the notification issued by NEPRA.
This new increase will be collected in the October and the adjustment will be shown separately in consumer bills on the basis of units billed during the month of July 2020 by the XWDISCOs (Ex-Wapda Distribution Companies).
It is pertinent to mention that the increase in electricity prices by NEPRA does not to K-Electric customers according to the notification issued by the power regulator.
