The National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday approved a massive hike in the power tariff by Rs. 4.30 per unit on account of the Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) for November 2021.
According to the notification, the Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) for November 2021 will be charged in the January 2022 bill for consumers of all distribution companies, except lifeline and K-Electric customers.
The increase of Rs. 4.30 in electricity rate will put an additional burden of around Rs. 41 billion on consumers, including GST. The Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) will be shown separately in the bill and it will be charged on the units consumed in November 2021.
“XWDISCOs shall reflect the fuel charges adjustment in respect of November 2021 in the billing month of January 2022,” said the notification announcing hike in the power tariff.
