The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Tuesday increased the power tariff by Rs. 1.25 per unit.
According to the details, NEPRA has increased the power tariff in wake of the monthly fuel price adjustment and consumers will have to pay the additional amount in August.
The increase in electricity prices will apply to all consumer categories except lifeline consumers and KE customers.
The increase was approved on the request of XWDISCOs for adjustment in tariff for the 3rd quarter of FY2022-23.
Meanwhile, NEPRA has announced a Rs. 0.5 per unit reduction in the power tariff for K-Electric consumers.
