The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has decided to place Zahir Jaffer on the Exit Control List (ECL) in the murder case of Noor Mukadam, the daughter of Pakistani Ex-Diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, who was brutally killed and beheaded in Islamabad.
According to the details, the passport of the alleged accused has been confiscated by the authorities and his name is being added to the no-fly list on the request of the Islamabad Police.
Noor Mukadam, the daughter of Shaukat Mukadam, was brutally murdered and then beheaded at a house in Sector F-7/4 in Islamabad. The Islamabad Police arrested Zahir Jaffer, son of businessman Zakir Jaffer and a friend of the victim, over his involvement in the Noor Mukadam murder case.
In an earlier press conference related to the incident, SSP Ataur Rehman said that a special team was constituted to probe the matter and the investigation would be based on solid evidence with the suspect being convicted based on that evidence.

Investigation Team Probes Mental Illness Aspect
The team investigating the incident has recorded the statement of the victim’s family as well as the psychotherapists who reportedly treated the alleged killer Zahir Jaffer, who posed himself as mentally ill to avoid the sentencing.
It is pertinent to mention that SSP Investigation Ataur Rehman said in his earlier press conference that the alleged accused was sound and in his senses when he was arrested for the murder of Noor Mukadam.
It is pertinent to mention that the murder weapon, including a knife, pistol and a knuckleduster were recovered from the alleged killer’s and sent for forensic analysis.
Furthermore, the investigation team has not ruled out the aspect of the planned murder as the alleged killer had booked a flight to the US in order to flee the country after the killing.
Shaukat Mukadam, the father of Noor Mukadam, has said that the suspect is “not a person with a mental disability.”
It is pertinent to mention that both Noor Mukadam and the alleged killer Zahir Jaffer were reportedly childhood friends and it is being said that the killing took place after the victim broke up with her alleged killer, who could not handle the rejection.
“If such a person was employed as the director of a company, then his parents, too, must be made part of the investigation,” said Shaukat Mukadam during a press conference.
PM Imran Khan Takes Notice
Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the Inspector General of Police for Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman to not make any concessions during the investigation of the matter, said the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Twitter. “The prime minister has ordered that justice be provided to Noor Mukadam’s family,” said Gill.
“We all have daughters. I would like to ask the Opposition to stand united with us on this front,” he added.
Court Extends Physical Remand
