A price reduction has been recommended by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) in petrol price for the month of February in a summary it sent to the federal government.
OGRA has recommended a reduction of up to 6 paisa for petrol price and 66 paisa for kerosene oil.

On the other hand, OGRA has recommended an increase of up to Rs. 2.47 ofr high speed diesel and Rs. 1.10 in light diesel price.
The working papers would be forwarded by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) to the finance ministry for approval.
This would bring down petrol price in Pakistan by 0.1% compared to the 15% drop internationally.
This would bring petrol prices down from Rs. 116.60 per litre to Rs. 116.54 per litre.
If the recommendation is approved, the new prices will be effective from 1 February, 2020.
