In order to provide convenience to the citizens, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has launched online traffic challan payment services including online appointment booking for license application. This step has especially been taken in wake of the coronavirus pandemic so that people may be facilitated at home.
The launch of the new online system was inaugurated by Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar. The service is currently available in three sectors of Lahore but it will be expanded throughout Punjab and will facilitate over 14 million citizens.

How to use the online traffic challan payment services?
You will have four different modes of payment which include ATM machines, mobile banking, web banking and over the counter (OTC) of any bank branch.
Although you have the option to make an online traffic challan payment, you will still have your documents confiscated and will need to retrieve them once the payment is done using the 18 digit PSID written on the traffic challan.
The collection of your documents will be much easier using this method as you will only have to visit the sector office and get your documents after showing the proof of payment.
How to book appointment online for license application?
You can book an appointment using three different ways which include calling the helpline or using the Raasta App or the online web portal. You can book an appointment by providing some basic information which includes the purpose of visit which can be either applying for any type of license, getting a duplicate license or even renewal.
How to book appointments for transfer, registration or tax payment of your car?
You also have an option to book appointments for Excise Office for transferring or ownership, registration or even token tax payment of your vehicle. All you need to do is download the Excise Appointment Punjab application available here.
These new systems which include the online traffic challan payment and appointment booking is one step in the right right direction towards facilitating the people of Pakistan.
