The Pakistan Citizen Portal app went down today after their most recent update that added the option to report corruption and malpractices among many other additions to the app. This is another step that has been taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government against corruption and serious matters faced by the country.
The Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU) has introduced a new category to report corruption and malpractices on the Pakistan Citizen Portal app on the instructions of PM Imran Khan according to a recent report by ProPakistani.
There are different sub-categories that the citizens can select to report different issues related to corruption.

Pakistan Citizen Portal app categories include:
Finance corruption:
- public funds
- kickbacks
- bribery
Violation of Merit/Rules category:
- recruitment
- procurement
- allotment
Power Abuse category:
- favoritism
- unauthorized privileges etc.
Harassment category:
- physical or sexual harassment
- threatening
- blackmailing
Fraud/Mockery category:
- fake documents
- impersonation
Head of inefficiency category:
- absenteeism
- red-tapism
- ghost employees
- non-serious attitude
The app basically connects the Pakistani citizens within the country and abroad directly to the Prime Minister’s office complaint cell using a smartphone application.
The Citizen Portal is a part of e-government program initiated by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
