ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has given the green signal to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to resume domestic flights operation in Pakistan from tomorrow (16 May 2020).
According to a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Spokesperson Serene Air and Pakistna International Airlines (PIA) will be operating these domestics flight in from tomorrow.

He further said that the following number flights will operate from different airports across the country from tomorrow.
- 68 flights will operate from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
- 32 flights from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
- 32 flights from Islamabad International Airport.
- Eight flights from the Quetta International Airport.
- Four flights from the Bacha Khan International Airport.

Note: Air Blue does not plan to operate till 30th June, 2020.
1The domestic flights operations in Pakistan were suspended earlier in April when the Federal Government declared a countrywide lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Although few special flights were still carried out to help repatriate Pakistanis stranded abroad including a domestic flight that was operated this month to fly parliamentarians from Karachi to Islamabad fro the first National Assembly session since the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
In other news, Pakistan Railways is yet to announce a decision regarding train operations in the country. Pakistan Railways Minister Shiekh Rashid said that the government needs to take a quick decision whether to operate train services on Eid-ul-Fitr.
