KARACHI: The Government of Pakistan has extended the ban domestic and International flights till 30th April in the wake of the COVID19 situation.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) regarding the extension in the suspension of flight operation till April 30, 2020.
According to the notification “As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan, the suspuspension Domestic and International flights operation as effected earlier has been extended upto Thursday,April 30, 2020 at 2359 hours Pakistan Standard Time (PST) – CAA
However the relief and logistics cargo flights will be operated with special permission. To repatraitate thousands of Pakistanis stranded across the world due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operating special flights from April 15 and will to do till April 20.
A special PIA flight carrying 219 stranded Paksitani left Jakarta for Karachi earlier this afternoon.
Around 450 Pakistanis were got stranded in different parts of Indonesia due to flight cancellations and lockdown amid coronavirus pandemic.
