Eid ul Azha 2020
Pakistan is celebrating Eid ul Azha 2020 on 1 August as announced by the Ruet e Hilal Committee after they were unable to sight the ZilHaj moon on 21 July as earlier stated by the Federal Minister for Science and Technology according to the Science Ministry’s calander.
This fued between the Ruet e Hilal Committee and Fawad Chaudhry isn’t exactly new. The Federal Minister was arguing that the moon sighted on 22 July 2020 was a day old and the reason Ruet e Hilal Committee was unable to spot the ZilHaj moon earlier was because of clouds.
According to Chaudhry Eid ul Adha was suppose to fall on 31 August 2020.
