ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has officially labeled the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” according to a notification from the Ministry of Interior.
This decision aims to expose the true nature and ideology of the TTP. The notification highlights that the TTP has misrepresented Islam under the guise of religion. It specifies that the term “Khariji” will be used alongside the names of these terrorists to reveal their true identity.
The notification underscores that the TTP has severely harmed Islam. These extremists have no genuine interest in the religion. According to Islamic teachings, such corrupt elements are known as “Fitna al-Khawarij.”
The Ministry of Interior’s notification directs all government institutions to implement these directives without delay. It will also be distributed to all federal ministries, divisions, and departments under administrative control.
This action marks a notable shift in the Pakistani government’s strategy for combating terrorism. By designating the TTP as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” the government seeks to delegitimize the group and reduce any potential support for their ideology.
The government urges the public to understand the true nature of the TTP and remain vigilant against their deceptive tactics. This new label aims to educate and inform citizens about the real motives of the TTP, ensuring that their false narrative does not gain traction.
In a broader context, this move aligns with Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat extremism and promote a true understanding of Islam. The government remains committed to rooting out terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
