There has been a huge shortage of face masks and PPEs ever since the coronavirus outbreak and now Pakistan is able to produce its own masks, PPEs and sanitizers according to the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry.
The Minister is his tweet says that the Pakistan is now producing its own face masks and personal protective equipment (PPEs) and is even able to export sanitizers. According to Fawad Chaudhry, testing kits for the coronavirus and ventilators were also under testing.

There was a huge shortage of face masks, personal protective equipment (PPEs) and sanitizers ever since the coronavirus outbreak started in Pakistan as the demand rose, some people started hoarding these items and prices rose significantly. A box of face mask that was sold anywhere from Rs. 400 to Rs. 500 suddenly costed nearly Rs. 2000.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has surged to 8,175 along with a death toll of 167 and these numbers are now rising rapidly as the testing capacities of provinces are increasing allowing for more tests everyday. However, there are over 1,868 people who have recovered from the coronavirus.
