Pakistan Railways has announced a 25% cut in train fares to assist passengers during the Eid ul Adha 2024 celebrations. This fare reduction will be applicable for three days during the Eid ul Adha festival and will apply to all passenger trains, except for special Eid trains.
A spokesperson from Pakistan Railways expressed their commitment to serving the people of Pakistan, stating, “We are delighted to announce this significant fare reduction as part of our commitment to serving the people of Pakistan.”
The discounted fares are available only for current bookings, encouraging passengers to book their tickets soon to benefit from the reduced prices.
This announcement follows a similar move by Pakistan Railways in May 2024, when they reduced fares for various classes. At that time, economy class fares for some trains were reduced by up to 54%, and air-conditioned class fares saw a 40% reduction.
Passengers can now look forward to more affordable travel options during the upcoming Eid ul Adha festivities, making it easier for families to celebrate together.
