Pakistan Railways Announces Restoration of Sir Syed Express

Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of the Sir Syed Express, a significant move aimed at enhancing the country’s railway services. Effective from September 1, 2024.

The train service will resume operations with a voluntarily enhanced bid amount of Rs. 2,868,638,046 per annum.

The restoration comes as part of an agreement between Pakistan Railways and M/S RAAS Logistic, which has been approved by the Chief Executive Officer and Senior General Manager.

The memorandum detailed in the notice emphasizes the restoration of the Sir Syed Express (35 Up / 36 Dn) and mentions that this initiative is in pursuance of Clause 8.1 of the existing agreement between the two parties.
