Pakistan Railways has doubled its platform ticket prices with immediate effect in order to overcome its financial losses.
According to the details, the Pakistan Railways has raised platform ticket prices from Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 across all railway stations in the country.
Furthermore, Pakistan Railways has also increased railway fares in recent weeks in light of the hike in prices of petroleum products across the country.
The railway fares have been raised by right percent and they are applicable on all trains and classes, except Green Line Express.
The decision was taken because of price in diesel put an additional burden of Rs. 10 million per day.
