Pakistan has reported 5,611 new coronavirus cases in a single day along with 118 deaths as the country battles the third wave of the deadly COVID-19 infection.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) released data of 55,128 COVID-19 tests conducted during the last 24 hours from which 5,611 returned positive bringing the country’s tally of infections to 795,627.
Furthermore, the country has also reported 118 deaths during the last 24 hours bringing the death tally to 17,117 as per the data provided by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The positivity rate of infections in Pakistan currently stands at 10,17 percent as of Sunday (25 April 2021) while 3,324 people have recovered from the infection with total recoveries at 689,812.
Moreover, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has revealed that 10 children have died due to coronavirus since 15 March 2021. If it pertinent to mention that these children fell in the 1 – 10 years age bracket.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has imposed a new set of restrictions to counter the third wave of coronavirus cases in Pakistan.
