PCB condoles the death of Wasim Akram’s father


LAHORE: Legendary cricketer and former captain of Pakistani cricket team, Wasim Akram’s father expired in Lahore after suffering a prolonged illness.

According to the sources, Wasim Akram’s father, Chaudary Muhammad Akram was suffering from a prolonged illness in Lahore.

The burial ceremonies have not yet been decided, whereas the particular decisions will be taken after Wasim Akram’s arrival in Lahore from United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It is pertinent to know that Wasim Akram is currently associated as a bowling consultant of Indian Premier League (IPL-7) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

PCB condoles the death of Wasim Akram’s father

The Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mr. Najam Sethi has expressed his deep sense of grief over the sad demise of Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Father of former Test Captain Wasim Akram. “We are with Wasim and his family at this hour of need and pray to Allah Almighty to give them strength to bear this great and irreparable loss”, he said.

Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad, Director Media Amjad Hussain, all the management of PCB and fellow cricketers have also extended their condolences and prayed eternal peace for the departed soul.
