In a tragic incident, the Peshawar mosque blast has claimed the lives of 28 people, while over 150 are reportedly injured.
According to the details, a blast was reported inside a mosque at Police Lines in Peshawar during Zuhr prayers on Monday.
The police and rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after the tragic incident took place and moved the injured to the Lady Ready and other hospitals in the area.
Meanwhile, an emergency had been imposed by the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in Peshawar’s Hospitals.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has confirmed 28 casualties and over 150 injures.
The authorities have cordoned off the area and an investigation in underway to determine the nature of the blast.
According to the details, the blast had such intensity that part of the mosque collapsed.
Videos and pictures of the incident have been shared by social media users online and they show the horrific scenes with people drenched in blood as rescue teams provide medical assistance and shift them to nearby hospitals.

Suicide Blast
Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah, has termed the explosion at Peshawar mosque as a suicide attack and added that majority of the martyrs and injured are policemen.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad police have put security on high alert in view of the Peshawar mosque blast today.
According to the details, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police has tightened security at the entry and exit points of the federal capital.
Furthermore, the police has instructed citizens of Islamabad to keep important documents with them, including their CNICs.
