The government has reduced petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan for the next fortnight, starting from 16 September, 2024 to 30 September, 2024.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a downward adjustment in the prices of petroleum products, reflecting the recent fluctuations in international oil markets. The new prices, effective from 16th September 2024, provide some relief to consumers as key fuel prices have seen a reduction.
According to OGRA’s latest notification, the price of petrol (MS) has been reduced by Rs. 10 per liter, bringing it down to Rs. 249.10 from the previous Rs. 259.10. Similarly, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has seen a significant decrease of Rs. 13.06, making the new price Rs. 249.69 per liter. Kerosene oil (SKO) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) have also seen reductions of Rs. 11.15 and Rs. 12.12, respectively.
This revision comes at a time when consumers are facing inflationary pressures, and the relief in fuel prices is expected to provide some economic respite.
