ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan approves the summary of The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Wednesday night to hike the price of petrol by Rs 5.15.
OGRA sent the summary to finance minister earlier to increase petroleum product prices by Rs 5.15 for Petrol and Rs 5.65 for Diesel.
This Petrol Price hike came as no surprise as it was expected that the Government will increase prices leveling International Market, Although Pakistan is getting deferred payment fuel from Saudia Arabia.
The government did not want to burden its shoulder anymore passing on the weight on the public.

The new prices of Petroleum Products per liter as follows
Petrol | Rs 117.83 |
Diesel | Rs 132.47 |
Light Diesel | Rs 90.52 |
Kerosene Oil | Rs 103.84 |
The new prices are effective from 1st August 2019 [Midnight].
