ISLAMABAD: The Petrol Prices in Pakistan are expected to increase from 16 September 2021, according to the recommendation summary submitted by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to the Petroleum Division.
According to the sources, OGRA has recommended a hike of Rs. 10 per liter in the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) and an increase of Rs. 1 per liter in the Petrol Price in Pakistan. Furthermore, the regulatory body has recommended an increase of Rs. 5.50 per liter in the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) and Kerosene Oil.
It bears mentioning, the Federal Government reduced the Petrol Prices at the start of September 2021. The current Petrol Price in Pakistan is Rs. 118.30 per litre, price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is Rs. 115.03 per litre, price of Kerosene Oil is Rs. 86.80 per litre and the price of Light Speed Diesel (LDO) is Rs. 84.77 per litre.
If the Federal Government approves the new Petrol Prices in Pakistan, these will come into effect from 16 September 2021 for the second half of the month. The final decision will be taken by the Finance Ministry after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
