The Petrol Prices in Pakistan will remain unchanged from 1 April 2022 to 30 April 2022 on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide relief to general public amid the rising inflation rate in the country. In his address to the nation in February, the premier promised that price of petrol will remain stable until the next budget.
According to the notification, Petrol Price in Pakistan will remain unchanged at Rs. 149.86 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) in Pakistan will also remain at the current rate of Rs. 144.15 per litre. Meanwhile, the Price of Kerosene Oil will remain at Rs. 125.56 per litre, while the Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will remain at Rs. 118.31 per litre.

The Petrol Prices in Pakistan with effect from 1 April 2022 will remain unchanged as per the notification issued by the Finance Ministry. Prime Minister Imran Khan had promised the price of these commodities will not be increased until next budget while he addressed the nation last month.
In a statement issued by the Finance Division, the decision has been taken in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s announcement in the fortnightly review on 28th February. “Subsequently, the government will bear the additional burden of Rupees 33 billion for the fortnight (1-15 April, 2022) to keep the prices at the existing level,” the statement added.
