Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have announced a revision in the Petrol Prices in Pakistan from 16 August 2022 on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to the details, the Price of Petrol has been increased, while the Federal Government has slightly reduced the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD).
According to the announcement, Petrol Price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs. 6.72 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) in Pakistan has been reduced by Rs. 0.51 per litre. Meanwhile, the Price of Kerosene Oil has been a reduced by Rs. 1.67 per litre and the Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has been raised by Rs. 0.43 per litre.
This will bring the Price of Petrol in Pakistan at Rs. 233.91 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel will now be Rs. 244.44 per litre after the increase. Meanwhile, the new Price of Kerosene Oil will be Rs. 199.40 per litre and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will now be sold at Rs. 191.75 per litre.

The Latest Petrol Prices in Pakistan will come into effect from 16 August 2022 and will remain unchanged for the remainder of the month till 15 August 2022.
“In the wake of fluctuation in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variation, the Government has decided to revise the existing prices of petroleum products to pass on the impact to the consumers.” said the notification from the Finance Division.

Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approval recommending an increase of Rs. Rs16.48 per litre in the price of Petrol, while also requesting a hike of Rs. 6.80 per litre in the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD).
