The Government has announced a massive increase the Petrol Prices in Pakistan from 16 February 2022 to 28 February 2022 on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan providing a relief to the people at a time when they are facing already burdened amid the already increasing inflation in the country.
According to the announcement, Petrol Price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs. 12.03 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) in Pakistan has been raised by Rs. 9.53 per litre. Meanwhile, the Price of Kerosene Oil has been increased by Rs. 10.08, while the Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has been raised by Rs. 9.43.
This brings the new Petrol Price in Pakistan at Rs. 159.86 per litre, the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) at Rs. 154.15 per litre, Price of Kerosene Oil at Rs. 126.56 per litre, and Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) at Rs. 123.97 per litre.

The latest Petrol Prices in Pakistan will take effect from midnight 16 February 2022 for the remainder of the month till 28 February 2022.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had originally recommended an increase in the Petrol Price of Rs. 13 per litre, while suggesting a hike in the Diesel Price of Rs. 18 per litre. However, the Federal Government rejected the first summary and asked for a revised summary with a lower increase in Petroleum Prices.
