The Federal Government may reduce Petrol Prices in Pakistan during next fortnight from 16 December 2022 as oil prices have seem a sharp decline in the international market.
According to the details, the Government may lower Petrol Prices in Pakistan by Rs. 30 per litre from 16 December 2022 for the next fortnight.
Based on reports, Pakistan is getting petrol at $76 to $77 per barrel, while Petroleum Levy is Rs. 50 per litre as per the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and sales tax remains zero.
However, the final decision regarding the Petrol Prices in Pakistan will be announced by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar after consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on 15 December 2022.
It is pertinent to mention that reports regarding the prices of petroleum products come right after Russia agreed to sell crude oil to Pakistan at a reduced rate after a Pakistani delegation visited Moscow to negotiate the deal.
However, the government has not revealed the price of the discounted rate negotiated with Moscow.
