Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will begin Hajj 2022 flight operations from Jinnah International Airport Karachi on June 8. According to the details, PIA flight-743 will leave for Madina from Karachi on Wednesday and the national flag carrier will use Boeing 777 for its pre-Hajj operations.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has also completed all arrangements at Jinnah International Airport for the Hajj 2022 operations. According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, there will be a total of 32,000 pilgrims flown to Saudi Arabia through 106 Hajj flights with 42 of them operating from Islamabad under the ‘Road to Makkah’ project.
It is pertinent to mention here that the first PIA flight for the Hajj operations under the ‘Road to Makkah’ initiative has already departed from New Islamabad International Airport on Monday. Meanwhile, a private airline flight carrying 220 intending pilgrims also left for Madina from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Sunday.
Hajj pilgrims are being informed about their flight schedule through the website and SMS on their mobile phone numbers. Meanwhile, the The religious ministry has urged all Hajj pilgrims not to enter the premises of Riaz-ul-Jannah without prior permission from Saudi authorities.
