ISLAMABAD: The reaction on Supreme Court decision by a small segment of society is not appropriate; the nation to remain vigilant against inciters to keep the peaceful environment of the country intact: PM Imran Khan
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan addressed the nation earlier about the Court’s verdict on Aasia Bibi’s case.
The unexpected address to the nation came after Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Protesting across Pakistan in major cities like Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi.
Riots break out various parts of the country after the supreme court announced the verdict. In this critical situation, the Prime Minister addressed the nation.

Prime Minister Khan said
“I’m here only because a Supreme Court verdict was announced today and the way a small section reacted to it and the language that they used…I’m forced to address you,” Khan said.
“The decision of the judges is according to the constitution and Pakistan’s constitution is according to the teachings of Islam.”
“Saying that the judges of the Supreme Court are ‘Wajib ul Qatl’ and that the army chief is a ‘non-Muslim’, and calling for a revolt against the chief justice and army chief. This is unacceptable,” he said.
“I am warning these Islamic groups, don’t force us we will not let them halt everything, It is our duty to keep this country going and we will do anything to restore peace in the country.
