PM Khan Launches Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 once again at an inauguration ceremony held in Islamabad. The Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program is aimed to help 20 million with daily use items by providing 30% monthly subsidy.

According to Prime Minister, the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 is one of the biggest programme in the history of Pakistan. He said that such initiatives, which are introduced to help the vulnerable sections of society, are only possible because of the people who have passion and consideration towards the lives of other people.

During his address at the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan said the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program is the right step towards making the country a welfare state. The programme will provide 30% subsidy to 20 million families on daily use items.

According to the details, the subsidy provided under the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 will effectively lower the price of essential commodities such as wheat flour, cooling oil, and ghee in order to help the lower segments of society with daily use items.

Under the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022, there will be a spending of Rs. 106 billion on the provision of subsidies to 20 million deserving families under the banner of Ehsaas Program. Furthermore, the Ehsaas Cash Assistance Program will also be started under the Ehsaas Kafalat Program, which is worth Rs. 71 billion.

Prime Minister Imran Khan added that the social welfare programme of Ehsaas has provided financial assistance to deserving families during the pandemic and the work done by the initiative has been acknowledged throughout the world. The premier appreciated the work being done by Ehsaas Program in order to alleviate poverty in the country.

The premier urged the public to pay their taxes and promised that all the amount collected would be used for the people’s welfare and development, adding that 98% of the financial assistance under the Ehsaas Kafalat Program was disbursed among the needy women.

He said that a country could not prosper unless the resources were spent on the uplift of women, especially towards their education and health, adding that the government’s National Health Insurance Program was a major step towards providing free medical treatment to the needy people.

Eligibility

It is pertinent to mention that eligibility for the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 was revised by the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Steering Committee to include more families into the initiative. According to the new eligibility requirement for the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program, the families earning below Rs. 50,000 a month can apply for the programme.

How to Apply for Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program?

You can apply for the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 by sending your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number to 8171 SMS service. These beneficiaries can register online for the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program 2022 using the Ehsaas Rashan Portal at https://ehsaasrashan.pass.gov.pk/.
