Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched 911 Emergency Helpline for the purpose of facilitating common people by providing emergency relief services through a single platform. Prime Minister Imran Khan believed that it was an important step towards the development of Pakistan into a Madina welfare state.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony held in Islamabad, he said the 911 Emergency Helpline is a great project, which needs the support of all the federating units of the country. “Now, every citizen in any part of the country will get the state’s response (in case of any emergency).” said Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“This is a major move forward towards our mission statement of making Pakistan an Islamic welfare state,” the premier added while addressing the launch ceremony of the emergency helpline. The 911 Helpline would provide emergency services like fire brigade, police, health assistance, disaster recovery, motorway police, etc.
The person would just have to dial just 911 and the call center would forward the call to the relevant department or government agency. Prime Minister Imran Khan added that citizens should be confident of the state’s response in case of any threat to life and property.
It bears mentioning that several emergency services are operating with different numbers throughout Pakistan but the 911 Emergency Helpline would provide ease as it would enable people to get these emergency relief services with a single number.
