Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot and dry weather to prevail in most parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours. However, there are chances of rain and thunderstorms in northern areas of Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Kashmir, and adjoining areas.
According to the details, Islamabad and Punjab are likely to experience hot and dry weather. However, there are chances of rain and thundershower in Murree, Galiyat, and Jhelum in the afternoon. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will experience hot and dry weather in most parts of the province as well.
However, there may be rain-wind/thundershower in Kohistan, Mansehra and Balakot. Furthermore, Sindh and Balochistan will also experience hot and dry weather for the next 24 hours.
It is pertinent to mention that the advisory comes immediately after the pre-monsoon spell of strong rainfall across the country. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted above-average rainfall during the upcoming monsoon season which is expected to start by end of June and last till mid-August.
