Police Issues Statement on Artistic Milliners Gang Rape Case

The internet has been trending with the ‘Artistic Milliners Rape Case’ as netizens demand for justice and strict punishment for the alleged gang-rape of the female employee by 22 men at the denim manufacturing company located at an industrial unit at Karachi’s Korangi area.

According to the details, the unidentified female employee was asked to work overtime after which she was drugged and gang-raped and severely tortured by 22 men at the Human Resources (HR) department of Artistic Milliners, a denim manufacturing company with a strong focus on women empowerment, innovation and sustainability.

Twitter has been trending with hashtag ‘Artistic Milliners Rape Case’ and netizens are demanding justice for the unknown victim and strict action against the alleged suspects working at the company’s HR division. Furthermore, the incident has become just a big trend that even some journalists and celebrities have posted about it.

Police Issues Statement

In response to the social media trends, the Sindh Police was issued a statement and denied all reports of a rape incident at Artistic Milliners and added that no victim has come forward while the management of Artistic Milliners has come forward claiming that it was a drive to malign the company’s reputation.

In a letter issued by the President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Muhammad Salman Aslam, it was stated that ‘Artistic Milliners Rape Case’ was made up by a person named Sagar Buledi from an internet channel called ‘Dhoom Plus’ to malign the reputation of Artistic Milliners and blackmail them for his illegal demands.

However, there are some reports claiming that reason behind nobody coming forward is because the girl had passed away the very next day of the incident.
