Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday expressed his disapproval of the recent VPN shutdown and internet slowdown, criticizing the government for not consulting relevant stakeholders before making the decision.
Speaking at an event in Karachi, Bilawal, who previously served as Pakistan’s foreign minister, remarked, “We have not been taken on board regarding the outages of the VPN and internet. Those who have made the decision do not know anything about the VPN.”

Bilawal stressed that his party would have provided constructive suggestions to the government had they been consulted. “We would have given suggestions to the government if it had taken us on board regarding the shutdown of the VPN,” he added.
The PPP chairman’s remarks reflect broader concerns about internet accessibility and the impact of connectivity restrictions on business and communications in Pakistan.
