Protests have erupted across the country after the disqualification of the Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, in the Toshakhana reference by the Election Commission of Pakistan. According to the details, PTI workers and party supporters have come out to the streets to record their protest against ECP’s decision.
People have taken to the streets of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Daska, Chiniot, Okara, Gujrat, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and other parts of the country to protest the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
In Karachi,, PTI workers have started to gather at Shahrah-e-Faisal, one of the post important roads in the metropolis, causing massive traffic jams in the port city. Meanwhile, PTI Balochistan chapter has also given a call for protest following the ECP’s announcement of their verdict in the Toshakhana reference.
There is also a huge rally being taken out from Insaf House Karachi to ECP against the decision.

In Lahore, people have taken to the streets in different parts of the city and blocked traffic, including Johar Town, Liberty, Bhatta Chowk and more. Meanwhile, PTI women MNAs and MPA along with supporters have staged a sit-in at Jail Road, causing massive traffic jams in the area.

Ferozepur Road has also been blocked, while some people have even stopped Metro Bus from operating on its track. Meanwhile, a huge protest has also broken out in Kalma Chowk.
The workers also chanted slogans outside the Punjab Election Commission office to express their anger against Imran Khan’s disqualification.
It is pertinent to mention that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today disqualified Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, in the Toshakhana reference under Article 63(1)(p) as it ruled his involvement in corrupt practices and submission of false affidavit.
It has ordered registration of criminal cases against PTI chairman.
