Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a power show in Islamabad on August 14 (Independence Day), a day after the party gave a one month deadline to the federal government to hold general elections in the country.
According to the details, the decision was taken by PTI during a meeting headed by Imran Khan on Saturday, while all party organizations have been directed to make arrangements for public gathering in Islamabad on Independence Day.
It is pertinent to mention that PTI has been demanding the coalition government to hold early elections in the country and even held a historic long march towards Islamabad on May 25, which faced stiff resistance from the government.
However, the long march was later canceled by the PTI chairman, Imran Khan, who termed that he made the decision to avoid confrontation between supporters and law enforcement personnel.
