KARACHI: There is no ban on opening of public parks in Sindh according to a notification issued by the Provincial Home Department that states neighborhood parks, public gardens and walking tracks can open but will be subject implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The notification was issued on 21 July 2020 titled, “Clarification on opening of parks” states:
The confusion which appears to have cropped up because the above orders mentions ban on opening of theme / amusement parks and arcades which include “Water Parks”, facilities / spaces with rides, games, events of entertainment etc. which are to remain closed.
It is however, reiterated that the management of the park / organization responsible for the parks management is to ensure that person entering the park observe SOPs issued for COVID-19 prevention that no crowding (persons coming in close contact) take place for which entry may be appropriately managed.
