Punjab Announces 25,000 Jobs in Health Sector

The Punjab Government has announced 25,000 new jobs in the Health Department on Sunday. The announcement was made via Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid, who also detailed the use of the newly recently launched Naya Pakistan Sehat Card in the Province.

During the press conference, the Health Minister said that people not having their CNIC would not be able to avail the health facilities under the Sehat Card while B-Form of their children would be necessary to ensure the health facility for the entire family.

“We have also developed an application named Naya Pakistan National Sehat Card from where details regarding the health facilities could be accessed easily,” said Yasmin Rashid, adding that 133 hospitals have been added to the light of health facilities from Lahore.

Furthermore, the website of the health card also carries information on the process of acquiring the health card. “The health card will be provided to the head of the family and he will be bound to register his entire family to acquire health facilities for them,” she added.

Moreover, a special desk would be setup in every district for the Sehat Card.

Yasmin Rashid said that Punjab Health Department would announce 25,000 new jobs during 2022 and more doctors would be hired by the private hospitals after 101 health facilities have been registered themselves with the health department.

The health minister urged the citizens to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 and follow SOPs as many people are now avoiding wearing masks since the decline in number of coronavirus cases.
