The caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced a public holiday in Lahore on September 7 (Thursday) on the account of annual Urs of Data Gunj Bakhsh Syed Ali Hajweri (RA).
According to interim CM Mohsin Naqvi, the three-day Urs celebration will commence on September 5 (Tuesday) and ‘Langar Khana’ will be provided to everyone who attends the celebrations.
Furthermore, the interim Government will make arrangements for Mehfil-e-Samaa, where the best qawwals will perform. The caretaker CM Naqvi added that best preparations will be made for Chehlum, processions and Urs.
Talking about the traffic situation in the city, the interim Chief Minister (CM) said that a plan is in place and that parking facilities will be provided once security has been cleared. Moreover, the preparations for the expansion of Data Darbar will begin moon, said CM Naqvi.
