Punjab Announces Summer Vacation Schedule for 2023

The Government of Punjab has announced summer vacation for school across the province, which is scheduled to being from 6 June 2023 and conclude on 20 August 2023.

In a notification, the School Education Department of Punjab stated, “It is hereby notified that all Public and Private Schools throughout Punjab shall remain closed w.e.f Tuesday 6th June, 2023 to Sunday 20th August, 2023 for summer vacation.”

It added that all schools will reopen from Monday 21th August, 2023 and resume normal classes.

However, the All Pakistan Private School Federation (APPSF) has rejected the Government’s summer vacation schedule for Punjab saying that it interferes with the syllabus.

Earlier this week, the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) had announced its own summer vacation schedule for Punjab schools.

According to the APPSF, the summer vacation in Punjab will begin from 15 June 2023 and conclude on 14 August 2023 with schools reopening on 15 August 2023.
