Punjab Considering to Extend Summer Vacation, Cancel Exams

Punjab Government is considering to extend the summer vacation for schools across the province due to surge in coronavirus cases across the country.

According to sources, it is possible that educational authorities may postpone examinations while promoting ninth and eleventh grade students without exams.

The decisions regarding the matter will be taken at the next meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) which will be attended by Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood.

Punjab Government had announced one-month long summer vacation for schools across the province from July 1 to August 1, 2021 while urging everyone to keep following the SOPs issued by the government. The announcement was made by Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas on Twitter.
